Spring Soccer

Spring soccer season is over.  Honestly, this one wasn’t too bad at all.

First off, we had a pretty good coach.  He was firm with the boys, made them play hard, but never screamed at them and stayed constructive with his comments.  That can make all the difference in a team.

Jordan played really well.  It didn’t take him the usual 3-4 weeks to get back in the swing of things, he just jumped right back in.

I was really surprised to see him playing goalie in the last game.  NOT a position he’s naturally skilled at playing, so I was biting my nails the whole time he was in.

He had a couple of good stops.

And one very painful looking miss.

You could tell for the most part he was just wondering what he was doing in there!

Once he got back to playing his regular position (usually defender or midfielder) I played around with some camera options. I found out it can take a bunch of photos rapidly…which is nice when trying to catch action. The quality is not the same though….and it eats the battery up.

Neat for sequencing…but not for capturing the greatest shots.
