Happy Easter!!
Ahhh, everything is ready.
The “Easter Bunny” has really toned it down this year. For the past few years I’ve written this really cool (if I do say so myself) scavenger hunt for Jordan (complete in rhyming couplet form). Last year, I even did a picture hunt for Celia (since she’s old enough to hunt, but not able to read).
This year….well, Easter is early. Liz’s wedding was today (more on that later, it was really fun)…so….the baskets are done, then eggs are hidden, and here’s the only poem the kids get:
do not fight and do not fret
this year the bunny has left the best surprise yet
today you get no clues to help you find
the 64 easter eggs scattered you’ll be hunting blind
jordan, you have eggs of green, yellow, and blue
cecelia, the pink and purple eggs are for you
32 each are hidden around
find them all and treasures will abound

Somehow, I don’t think the kids will mind. After all, there is candy in those eggs! Well, all of Celia’s eggs have candy….and most of Jordan’s. With the braces, he can’t have a whole lot so there’s some money in his as well.
