Addictions.

with 3 comments

Some people in this house are having problems.  Addictions.  Some very serious food addiction.

First, let’s discuss Celia and her chocolate addiction.  Don’t get me wrong, I lurve me some chocolate. But this girl….she must have it.  She craves it, searches it out, and would like to live on it.  I busted her getting into my stash of baking morsels 4 TIMES last Thursday!   After the second time, we sit down and talk about how chocolate is very yummy, and we get it a lot as a treat, but it’s not healthy to eat too much of it.  We’ll get a tummy ache, and our bones won’t grow big and strong.  And she tells me,

“I know mama.  I know.  But I WUV da chocwat.  I wuv it so much (here she starts sobbing) It’s so good in ma mouf and I wuv it”

I know baby girl.  I know. But you gotta lay off the sweet stuff.  They last time I busted her, she had tip toed to the basement for a quick fix.  I saw the basement door ajar and walked toward it yelling “Celia *****, you better not be in that chocolate”  She comes running up the steps, chocolate drool on her chin, yelling,

“I spit it out!  I dint eat it!  I just wicked it some!  But I dint eat it!”

I went down to rotate laundry and found a pile of slobbery morsels on the floor.  Eww.

Now on to Mr Bennie.  He really is a great dog, doesn’t to the irritating dog things like chew shoes or underwear.  He’s smart and follow Celia around all day and clean up after her (she flings crumbs like little doggie mana, and even sneaks him crackers and treats, which she cooks in her kitchen then puts on a plate for him).  He’s a great dog.

But he loves to eat wax and wooden food!  Wha????  Where is the appeal?  I have to be on constant alert for crayons on the floor (he’ll poop a rainbow, much to Jordan’s delight) and yesterday , he got a candle!  It wasn’t even scented some goodish scent like cookies.  Oh no, just a plain wax candle.  And the wooden food?  I don’t know if he just likes the wood, or it looks like food….but almost every piece of food in Celia’s kitchen has a few teethmarks.  The steak is all but destroyed, and 4 of the 6 pizza slices have the corners chewed off.  I’m not happy about that!  I’d rather he eat the crayons any day!
