Hot Flashes

with 6 comments

Week 2 of Lexapro withdrawal continues.

On Friday, I felt pretty good.  I was convinced I was over the worst of it.

Then I woke up Saturday and was soooo dizzy I could barely walk.  It was pretty bad.  But it was Saturday after all, so  I had nooooo problems laying around all day.  And I made Chris go get me a piano.  All in all, not a bad day.

Sunday I woke up and was still a little dizzy, but not too bad.  I could function.

Then I got to church and had a hot flash.  Oh my gosh.  I thought I would die.  I had to take off my sweater and fan myself.  Please tell me that I won’t have those when I reach menopause.  Because if I am, I’m going to start dreading it now.

So now my temperature regulation is all messed up.   My feet are cold and clammy most of the time.  Sometimes all of me gets cold and clammy.  But really…the hot flashes are the worst.  And I’ve only had 3.  Good Grief.

So in other news, yes, we have a piano now.  Some close friends are moving (which is a real bummer, well I mean, for me.  I’ll miss them.  Good for them because of many reasons) and they didn’t want to take their piano.  Chris wanted to hire professional movers….but I called him names until he decided that with the help of some friends…it could be done.

They did a great job, and now we have a piano (that needs tuned).  Jordan woke us up on Sunday to the off key tune of ‘rise, and shine, and give God the glory glory…..’   Not that we have music for it or anything.  He just plays it (and pretty much anything else) by ear. Amazing.  Now could the boy PLEASE apply himself in school and bring home some decent grades.  He’s all but a genius, but you wouldn’t know it from his report card.  He’s grounded from tv, computer, and wii until further notice.

Celia came prancing (that’s the only thing I can say she’s doing when she insists on wearing socks, shoes, a shirt, but nothing on her butt.  Girl wants around with her butt hanging out all day) in the living room earlier with a tub of sweet n sour sauce.  She was devastated when I took it away from her because she ‘needs china food for her bebes!!!’   We then had said china food for lunch and I learned that you should really use a fork, because sweet n sour sauce will stain a child’s entire hand pink.

Celia also made a cake in her play kitchen today, then told me that we had to let is rise because she put a lot of baking powder in it so it would be extra good.  She tells me she learned that in her ‘big three year old class at church’.  What in the world could they have been talking about for that to come up?  Unleavened bread?  You don’t use baking powder in bread.  I don’t know, but it was interesting to hear her say it!
