J and C and Me

Well, after two kids (the last one following an extremely unpleasant pregnancy), it’s time for Chris to take one for the team.

That’s right.  He’s getting it done.  The big V.  Vasectomy.

Needless to say, he’s not exactly looking forward to it.   He’s been a wee bit crabby this weekend (though much of that could be due to the death of his laptop).  But tomorrow he’ll be a changed man…and Tuesday he has big plans of driving an hour and a half to Cumberland.  I think he’ll change his tune on that one.

In any case….we’ve had a bit of joking over it the past few weeks.  Before Bree got her miracle sugar cure (which is working well, by the way) she was still wearing the “do-not-lick-yourself” cone.  She was getting to be pretty good about rubbing up against a chair until the fabric cone bunched up enough to, well, let her lick.

So Chris called on his way home from work one day to chat and I had to stop mid-sentence and run at the cat yelling “stop licking yourself”.  He missed out on the running at the cat portion of the conversation and just replied….”Umm, I’m not….”

Later that evening, he looked at me serious as can be and said

“Are they going to put a big blue cone around my neck after I have the V?”
